In 1997, IAV Engineering filed the patent for an acoustic instrument to measure the flux of solid or liquid particles in movement in a fluid.
Used since 1997 as an instrument for measuring the transport of snow by wind, also called snowdrift, today FlowCapt is a brand of reference with respect to autonomous nivometeorological stations, with more than one hundred operational installations throughout the world.
